[Company] is a recognized industry leader in the design, manufacturing and deployment of oilfield products aiding oil and gas production worldwide. Presently, [Company] in Bonnyville Alberta is recruiting for the following Rig Service Position :
Reel Mover:
- Moves continuous rod reels to and from customer wellsites;
- Bands continuous rod to ensure safe transportation;
- Completes shop and yard clean-up as required;
- Obtains Class 1 driver's license and learns duties and procedures for field welding;
- Acts as back-up Rig Assistant when required;
- Maintains regular communication with Field Supervisor and field service dispatch to ascertain rod reel requirements, etc.;
- Observes job procedures and identifies problems; provides suggestions for controlling or eliminating problems; actively participates in continuous process improvement;
- Documents all potential hazards and dangers and informs others (Hazard I.D.'s and near misses); wears personal protective equipment as required;
- Follows all safety and environmental procedures; complies with incident reporting and E.R.P.;
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
- Education: Minimum grade 12 education required;
- Knowledge/Experience: General labourer experience required; oilfield experience is an asset;
- Skills: Mechanical inclination; H2S and First Aid certification are assets; Class 5 Driver's License with clean abstract;
- Personal Suitability: Flexibility to work in remote locations; varying work schedules and extreme weather conditions.
