[Company] is a recognized industry leader in the design, manufacturing and deployment of oilfield products aiding oil and gas production worldwide. Presently, [Company] in Bonnyville Alberta is recruiting for the following position :
This entry level position to the Service shop is responsible for repairing and refurbishing oilfield equipment either within the shop or traveling to customer field location.. This person will become familiar with the subsequent procedures and operations and will initially work under the supervision of an experienced employee. Specific requirements for successful competency at this job level will include a willingness to become oriented with the goal of becoming proficient for repairing various types of oilfield equipment used by customers in the oilfield industry.
( Prior Oilfield experience is preferred however this is also an excellent entry level position for a mechanically inclined candidate as on the job training will be provided.)

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Initially working under supervision ( on the job training) through to achieving competency on basic job tasks/ set instructions or procedures in the shop relating to assembling, dis-assembling and refurbishing stuffing boxes, bearing boxes, drives, skids, hydraulic pumps and motors to both [Company] and external customer specifications.
- Compliance with all [Company] safety regulations and company policies
- Orientation and learning how to safely operate various equipment associated with position
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
- Responsible for shop cleanliness
- Ensuring that the work completed meets manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations.
- Aware of all safe operating procedures for any piece of equipment being operated.
- Ability to work independently with no or minimal supervision and ability to deal with customers as required relating to servicing of equipment.
- Compliance with all [Company] safety regulations and company policies
- Ability to work overtime hours, as workload requires.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Valid class 5 operators license in good standing
- Capability of working overtime
- Demonstrated and effective problem solver
- Quality first attitude
- Ability to follow set work instructions both from binder and computer.
- Familiarity with work process and ability to anticipate the next step
- Safety minded individual, willingness and commitment to receiving both required and ongoing mandatory safety training as a condition of employment
- Attention to detail
- Being able to work as part of a team in a team atmosphere
- Prior engine assembly or oilfield experience an asset
